Out with the Old, in with the New.

Did you know?

In North America, 85% of all used clothing, bed sheets, towels, and other textiles go to the landfill. Canada generates approximately 3 billion pounds of textile waste every year.

In a world where sustainability and social responsibility are increasingly important, partnerships that drive positive change are crucial. At Morguard Properties, we proudly lead sustainable change through our collaboration with Diabetes Canada.

Diabetes Canada's Textile Collection Program

  • Largest textile recycler in Canada
  • 95% of all material collected is reused or re-purposed
  • 4000+ bins in Canada

On a yearly basis, Diabetes Canada collects and diverts over 100 Million Pounds of textiles, which generates approximately $5 million (Net) in support of our world-leading research, education, advocacy, and D-Camps for children with Type-1 diabetes.

Diabetes Canada D-Camps are designed to provide children living with Type-1 diabetes the opportunity to enjoy an authentic camp experience in a medically accommodating environment with a dedicated team of professionals.

Together with Diabetes Canada, we drive positive change in combating textile waste and diabetes. Join us in shaping a more sustainable and inclusive future. Together, we can create a brighter tomorrow.
